AgRefresh was founded in 2003 and is farmer-owned and -managed. Our mission
is to fight global warming and to finance agricultural renewable energy,
sustainable farming, and rural American communities in general. We are active in three distinct, but related
realms:
Biofuels Life Cycle Consulting and Accounting.
Utilizing our environmental accounting expertise, we help biofuels producers
and their farm feedstock suppliers account for, and benefit from, biofuels
production methodologies which improve upon “first generation” biofuels. All
biofuels are not equal – in their means of production, their energy
consumption, transportation requirements, or process yield efficiency.
AgRefresh helps firms document the energy, greenhouse gas emissions, and
sustainability consequences of their production or use of biofuels and the
feedstocks that go into them.
Life Cycle Accounting (LCA) software tool development. Closely associated with, and as a result of, our LCA Consulting work, AgRefresh develops powerful software tools that enable accurate tracking and categorization of carbon, energy and Global Warming Intensity (GWI) inputs associated with agricultural and forestry sector activities. Integrating software development experience and expertise with GHG technical and regulatory development knowledge enables AgRefresh to deliver elegant, efficient, and cost-effective IT tools for accurate, confident tracking of all aspects of environmental accounting.

Dairy Farm Anaerobic Digester Biogas Projects. We maximize revenue generation for farm and biomass/biofuels producers through monetization of environmental attributes, guiding producers through the evolving maze of carbon market options in a way that maximizes their total revenue, leaving producers with 100% ownership of their credits. Producers are free to then sell their offsets to the highest bidder.
